Siarter Iaith
The Welsh Assembly Government has announced an aim to increase the number of welsh speakers in Wales to one million by the year 2050. As part of this aim, they have issued a charter called ‘Siarter Iaith Cymraeg’. The Welsh Language Charter provides a clear framework which can be used to promote and increase the use of Welsh by pupils in a whole school context. It also promotes a strong Welsh ethos within schools. The Siarter Iaith aims to inspire children and young people to use Welsh in all aspects of their lives. In order to achieve this aim, the Siarter Iaith involves everyone. All members of the school community and wider community are encouraged to participate.
Dyma Seren a Sbarc!
The Welsh Language Charter has welcomed these two new heroes to encourage children between four and seven years old to use Welsh language within their daily lives.
