Period Proud Wales

Blaenau Gwent Council strongly believes that no-one should be held back from accessing education due to their period. In 2019 Welsh Government introduced period dignity to provide Councils with funding to ensure all pupils have access to free sanitary products. Sanitary products, such as pads (reusable and disposable), tampons and period pants, are available from all Blaenau Gwent schools and are available to all who need them, when they need them, in order to access education. Please ask your child to check with their school where they are able to collect products from should they need any.
